Half-Hour Portraits This Weekend!

This was one of those portraits that remind me how much I love painting faces. Unfortunately, the half-hour portrait size didn't allow me to paint all the hair piled into a big, beautiful bun on top of this boy's fantastic face. We'll have to do a larger portrait at some point. I did, however, get a hug at the end of the sitting, which almost made up for not getting to paint the bun. Currently signing people up for sittings this weekend. Little Red Boat

Little Red Boat, 2018 version. Several people asked about the little red boat paintings last year, but they got snatched up! Here’s my most recent one. Thanks, Mark, for owning the prettiest boats on the river and docking them here in Croton. This painting will be for sale at the Croton Artisans Holiday Show at the municipal building this weekend.
