Half-Hour Portrait

In a comment on one of my recent posts, someone used the phrase “art for profit” in an attempt to be negative. But rather than an insult, that’s a dream! I feel so incredibly lucky that my “work” is something I absolutely love—painting the fascinating, endless variety of human faces. And how great is it that something I love to create happens to be something that others value, too. As long as I can continue to elicit reactions like the one to this portrait—“omg, I freaking LOVE it!”—I’m thrilled to be doing what I’m doing.
