Croton Point, Spring

My original intention was to paint at Black Rock Park. But an aggressive, scum-encrusted swan chased me away. Three times! Did you know that swans growl? I can only think that he must have a nest in the vicinity. Which excuses his behavior a bit. None of that is about this painting, though, which was my second-choice view, from a peaceful, fowl-free spot on the Hudson. I’ve always loved how the willows on Croton Point glow in the springtime.
Unless it sells in the next few days, this painting will be hanging at the Green Growler in Croton for the month of May, along with several other recent pieces. Reception info to come soon!
