Sometimes it’s so hard to sit
still, especially when you’re little. After a while, some kids’ faces start to
reflect how hard they’re concentrating on it, and how much they’d rather be
bopping about the room. I can often just smile a little, which brings a hint of
a smile in return, and a softer expression, and everything’s good. When I tried
that with this little cutie, though, I invariably got a huge grin and a full-body
squirm. She was so much fun to paint. Tomorrow I’ll show you her sister.
