This portrait is from last Saturday in Princeton, a visiting professor from Spain, whose lovely wife I also painted. I’m so bummed I forgot to take a picture of her portrait! Painting this weekend was a challenge, as the light was pretty bad. I like having some shadows, but I also like being able to see the face I’m painting. At any rate, I’m happy with how this turned out, though it was a struggle.
