This pooch reminds me so much of our sweet little Willie dog. He wasn't very smart, and he liked to roll in stinky things and steal our hats when we went sledding, but we loved him a lot.

Thanks, Mark, for owning the prettiest boats on the river and docking them here in Croton. This painting will be for sale at the Croton Artisans Holiday Show at the municipal building this weekend.

It’s been a long time since my last post! I’ve had a little too much work lately to do much painting, which is both fortunate and unfortunate. I have been able to fit in some portraits though, including this one of Lady Go-Go, a rescue Papillon. Isn’t she cute? Each of her ears is larger than her head! These dogs just make me laugh.

Here is the brother to yesterday’s doggie. This little guy is a bit smaller, but with just as much personality. I found that it’s fun getting a dog’s expression right.

I now do pet portraits! This pooch is a Papillon, and his enormous ears do look like butterfly wings. I’m not often drawn to small dogs, but this little guy and his brother were so full of personality and so adorable that they won me over.

Speaking of pets, our household has a tiny new member—Tarzan! As you can see, he’s making it a little difficult to focus on my painting.
